Kitmise is designed to be useful without an account, and we do not require you to sign up or provide personal details to browse.

• Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, referring site, and general interaction patterns, collected via Google Analytics (Firebase Analytics).
• Device data: browser type, operating system, screen size, language, and approximate region derived from your IP address.
• Search terms: queries you type into our search box, so we can improve catalog coverage and relevance.
• Outbound clicks: when you tap a “Buy” or merchant link, we record that a click occurred (product, merchant, and timestamp) so commissions can be attributed. This record is not linked to a profile about you.

We use a small number of browser-storage entries: your light/dark theme preference is stored in local storage, and analytics cookies help us count visits and understand which guides are helpful. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell your information.

• To understand which comparisons and guides are actually used.
• To attribute affiliate purchases to retailers so we can keep Kitmise running.
• To detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, and keep the platform secure.

Some links to retailers are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking one, the retailer may pay us a commission — this never changes the price you pay. Once you click through to a retailer, their own privacy policy governs how they handle your data. We also share limited usage data with Google as our analytics processor under their standard terms.

Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default retention window; click-attribution records are kept only as long as needed for commission reconciliation. We apply reasonable technical measures to protect the site, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

• Clear your browser's local storage to reset preferences.

Kitmise is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the revised policy.
